White Diamond respects your privacy. This policy explains what information this website handles and how. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.
Information we don’t collect
You don’t need an account, booking or form to use this website, and we don’t ask for your name, email or phone number online. We don’t currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this website.
Information handled automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, for security and to keep the site running.
- Your vehicle choice. If you choose a vehicle type on our price list, that choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage (under the name
wd-vehicle) so the prices stay set for you. It never leaves your device. - Your location. If you press “Find my nearest”, your browser asks for permission to share your location. The distance to each car wash is calculated on your device — your location is not sent to us, not stored, and not sent to the map provider.
Third-party services
Some pages include or link to third-party services. The map on our home and locations pages loads map images fromOpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address and the map area being viewed. Each location page embeds a Google Map, which Google may use to set cookies. We also link to Google, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and email or SMS apps for sharing. These services handle information under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
When you visit or contact us
If you speak with us in person or by phone, we only use the details you give us to help with your enquiry or service, and we don’t sell or share them for marketing.
Questions and complaints
If you have a question or concern about privacy, please speak with our team at any White Diamond location. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner atoaic.gov.au.
